The Importance of being Earnest
The Grand Hotel, Brighton.
April / May 2013.
Directed: Ross Drury
Produced by: Something Witty Productions
A site specific, afternoon tea serving production in the beautiful setting of the grand dining hall of The Grand hotel, Brighton.
The hotel served afternoon tea, sandwiches and cakes during the performance, which moved around the room, actors weaving in and out of audience tables and chairs. The action was very intimate, and at times, interactive with the audience.
The set design was stripped back to make the most of the setting. We added only as much furniture as needed, and some quirky decorations to the audience tables.
